Ukrainian leader Zelenskiy addressed the Russian reservists who will take part in the war in Ukraine, saying, "Sabotage every activity of Russia, block Russian operations, give us important information about the invaders."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has called on Russian soldiers who will fight in Ukraine to sabotage their own troops as part of Russia's partial mobilization decision.
In a televised address, Zelenskiy addressed Russian reservists who will take part in the war in Ukraine, saying, "Try to avoid being conscripted. But if you are taken into the Russian army, sabotage their every activity, prevent Russian operations, give us important information about the invaders." Calling on Russian soldiers to carry out acts of sabotage that would harm the army from within, the Ukrainian leader said, "If you can't do that, leave office and run."
Zelenskiy also asked Ukrainians living in Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine to resist Russia and pass on information to them.
Russian President Vladimir Putin's announcement of a partial mobilization in the country caused panic in Russia, while many Russians who were worried about being called up for military service began to go abroad. Ticket prices to many places, including Istanbul, had also skyrocketed.
Meanwhile, in the pro-Russian separatist-controlled Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics in eastern Ukraine, as well as in the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, referendums that began yesterday to annex Russia are continuing.
